Welcome to another great episode! We recorder this episode just after Valentines day or as Evan calls it "singles awareness day".  Freedom failed making his chocolate covered strawberries and ended up with a chocolate smeer with fruit on top. Evan told us he turned down a kiss in return for a kiss!

We started this week by sharing a Newspring video. It stated that history is filled with people who have step'd up. History is being made every single day. What part will you play in it?  This video brought on the question of do you dream of being someone or having something?

We welcomed out guest Sean Dinkle who is internationally known and he can certainly rock the microphone! We were excited to have him on this episode as we dove into differing viewpoints on showing affection. Sean has two younger children while Freedom's are older and Evan of course gives a great view from where he's at in life.

This episode was about strangers and Evan had some interesting experiments to share with us. First he talked about a study that was conducted where total strangers fell in love after only knowing each other for an hour. Lizzie thought it was strange and thought theres now way it could happen. Freedom was amazed. Our thoughts are if you had the 36 questions used could you recreate it on a date? Hmmm.

We are excited to have our first guest! Bryce is a production associate in the Atlanta area and loves running camera at special events.

We tackled the topic of first dates in this episode including a lengthy conversation on what a "proper" first date looks like.

We then ran down a list of things not to do on a first date. Hot what?

Social medias then came up and how and when they should be use. We also discussed what generations are using what socials. Evan some how got stuck on that white girls are using socials and Starbucks. Meanwhile he uses them as well. Very strange :)

GVP #05: Facial Hair, Groovy & Arranged Marriage

This episode we covered arranged marriage. Statistics show how successful it was in times past. Could modern day Millenials submit a decision such as this?

Facial hair and the current times perception of it. We've all see the rising up of the bearded wonders but I still can't shake what I read years ago in the book "Dressed for Success".  What's your thoughts? Are men with facial suspicious and hiding something?

Next we touched quickly on the comeback of the word GROOVY. Evan says now way ever and Freedom says it's back!  We are trying to bribe Evan to say it...just once.

Here's what was covered in this episode.

Evan got a car this year and it's a beater. It shoots snow out the vents on a cold day, shifts from first to second gear with a load clunk and even starts itself sometimes. Is there lessons to be learned when driving a beater?

Cigarettes were the "it" factor back when I was a kid and even more so before me. What's the new view from Millenials on cigarettes, cigars and vaping? A great listen.

We then talked about white sneakers. Are they for men or not? Evan loves them and I think they're strange. What do you think?  Be sure to let us know your thoughts!

In this cast we covered:

Millenials and the MANY options for what to do after high school compared to was not so long ago. It was suggested that everyone agrees that 28 is the new age of adulthood.

We then dug in deep to when is an arm touch simply an arm touch and not a sign or flirt.

We talked about was our favorite author Donald Miller and his most recent book Scary Close. We love this book as it talks frankly about relationships and how we can really mess them up but also how we can correct them.  Fantastic book. A must read.

Do you love and respect yourself? We touched on the importance of this in our lives.

New things covered were:

Home Depot and the great 30 minute education I received on drills. Thought I needed maximum power with an 18v Makita but was sold on the 12v Ridgid with a lifetime warranty. Check em out.

We then revealed our newest brainstorm invention. The Sitbit which is the competitor to the Fitbit. This one is better though since it measures your sitting and helps you stay relaxed instead of raising your heart rate. It's imaginary of course.  :)

Last but not least we covered one of Evan's favorite things to talk about and that's cameras. He is an excellent photographer and loves Nikon equipment. I was struck how strange it is that they recommend spending limited resources on lenses before the camera itself!

The Subjects covered in this episode include:

Our visit to the brand new Kalahari Water Park in Pennsylvania. We loved it despite us talking about some things that may make you squirm.

We spent a lot of time talking about hand holding in this episode. Proper formation in man/woman handholding aka front or back and also a little bit on the "re-grip" call and the sweaty hand.

Then we covered whether or not it's ok to say no to a child offering you a gift. LOL  Even slid in a little salesman trick on this one.
